Monthly Favourites // March 2015

March was a pretty busy month for me! It was basically my first month of uni where I actually started doing work, though...let's not talk about how I'm so behind on readings and should get back to doing the assignment that's due tonight! Favourites wise, I was actually grasping! Well, that's a bit extreme, but a lot is the same from last month. While I did get a boat load of stuff mid-month (thaaaanks Obsession!) I've been slowing starting to try things and wanted to test them out for a bit longer before I declared any faves! Though, there are definitely some gems in that bunch! Let's get stuck in here though!

Lush Cupcake face mask*
This was one of the prods included in the Obsession goodie bag and was actually made at the event! Being a fresh face mask, it does have a short expiry date (I can't remember if it's two weeks or a month...oh well!) which was actually one of the turn offs for me. I take forever to finish stuff up, so I was glad to receive this to try it out! I've been using this really often, think like 3 times a week! I find it really gentle on the skin though, so you could even use it every day if you really wanted. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth, not dry at all and I find it helps calm my skin down and just overall decongest a bit. My tub of the stuff is quite dry and play-doh like (not sure it's supposed to be that way?) so I've been using it in conjunction with the next product!

La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water
I got this little can in a GWP, trust me, I rarely spend money on bottled water, as if I'd buy an overpriced CAN of the stuff! What can I say, I'm a cheapskate and proud. Anyway, having this in my collection, of course I'm going to use it. I think it was Lena who I got the idea from, but I've been misting my face with it before applying face masks, instead of y'know, just wetting it with tap water. I think what I like most about this product is the can itself, not the water. The mist though guys, THE MIST. It's SO fine and delightful and it's just damn life changing (there's an Agents of Shield reference in there somewhere ;) ). I've also been spritzing a bit of this with Cupcake to turn it into more of a workable, paste consistency.

The Body Shop Aloe Lip Care
I finally picked this guy up after I finished one of my other lip balms, and YOOO it lives up to the hype! I definitely think this has become my favourite lip balm? The consistency is thick and ointment like but it feels very comfortable and moisturising on the lips. Because it's thick and really sticks to the lips (but not sticky), it feels like its doing something, which, trust me, it is. Even if I have quite chapped/flaky dry lips, this helps moisturise them! I find this lasts a long time too, like I'll still feel it on my lips hours later!

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger
My love for this bub is still going strong. I haven't done a review post on it yet because I've already featured it in a previous favourites and there are so many reviews out there, but let me know if you would like to see a full review! I've been using this guy again (I switch between it and Maybelline Fit Me) because my skin has been a little b*tch lately and I've got quite a few blemishes, and subsequently scars, to cover up (DAMN that uni stress but really just my binge eating of chocolate and ice cream!). Thick consistency and great coverage that blends and lasts super well. Beware though, it can cling to dryness!

I've been using this blush intermittently since I got it a few months a go, but it is truly a gem. The unique powder-but-not-really-a-powder formula blends and melds seamlessly into the skin. Peach Pop is such a pretty peachy-pink that just bodes so well with my skin tone. Love this to bits!

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
I actually have not mentioned this brush very much on my blog, but it's about time I did! I basically use it interchangeably with the Buffing Brush, but this month I must say I've been favouring it over the BB! I find the Expert Face to be a bit denser and therefore works better with thicker consistencies, as well as giving a bit more coverage. I just use it with my BB cream combo (featured last month) and it works a treat to give a gorgeous, even finish.

Parks and Recreation
I finallly got around to watching Parks and Rec! It was terrible timing actually though, never start a new series whilst in school/uni because you will never get any work done! Oops. I watched the first season a couple of years ago and just did not see the appeal, I just didn't find it very funny at all, but I decided to pick it back up and continue (after watching a couple of episodes on a plane trip and cacking myself) because I have heard that it gets better after S1, and boy they were right! I don't know what changed but this show is SO DAMN FUNNY. I'm now on the last season and DON'T WANT IT TO END. I literally love every character (even Jerry lol). Leslie and Ben are LITERALLY the cutest couple in the explored universe (Chris Traeger ;) ), Tom is my spirit animal and Ron's laugh gives me life. Seriously, if you haven't watched this show, GET ON IT.
UPDATE: I finished watching it!! AND I'M SO EMOSH. ;-; ;-; ;-; (that's a crying face btw). It was seriously the perfect ending/finale episode though. Like I'm so happy and sad AT THE SAME TIME.

H&M Bar Necklace
If you didn't spot it, it's sneaked up in the first photo, but I picked this up very much inspired by Estee's shopanomie necklace and it was only $5.95! Yay for bargains! I just love how simple and dainty it is, it goes with basically everything and is just a lovely addition to my collection that I've been wearing a lot.

Let me know what you guys have been loving, and I hope you all have a wonderful Easter break!
