It's been a little while since my last empties, and when the empties bin starts overflowing, you know it's time for an update! I have quite a few products to talk through (no makeup though, that shiz is impossible to finish up), so let's get started!
Goldwell Scalp Specialist Deep Cleansing Shampoo
This mofo has been hanging around in my shower for too long - two years too long. I finally finished up the dregs recently and can finally chuck this grubby bottle in the bin! This is a deep cleansing shampoo that I generally used when I'd gone that extra day without washing my hair and it's become pretty oily and gross. This was good I guess, it was quite clarifying without being stripping, but I feel like I could've just used normal shampoo, y'know?
Repurchase? Nah.
I haven't used this solidly for a long time, but again, there was only a small amount left hanging out which I finally used up. I can't say this shampoo was anything special. It was pretty gentle but I felt like it didn't CLEAN my hair as well as I wanted it to. It does the job, but I find you have to use a decent blob of it and definitely needs a second round.
Repurchase? Nope.
Nivea Stress Protect Anti-perspirant
I've had this little sample can around for a while and I found it good to take to school for before and after "lifeskills" class. Lol, "lifeskills" being the compulsory, senior "subject" equivalent to phys ed. So many "air quotes" cos that class was a mega bludge. ANYway, this deoderant was pretty good? I never notice a massive difference with deoderants because I don't think I smell that bad/sweat overmuch? I mean, I only use it occasionally :P So yeah, this was pretty good?
Repurchase? Maybe?
Daiso Detergent for Puff and Sponge
This has to be my second or third bottle of the stuff? Laahhhv it. It works so well to clean my brushes, and it's so darn cheap! I have already bought a new bottle but I'm tempted to also pick up the Dr Bronners soap just because I have some new natural bristle brushes and I think I read somewhere that this detergent is only good on synthetic bristles/may be a bit harsh for natural bristles. (feel free to educate me)
Repurchase? Yaaaaaaas.
Onto the skincare!
Smart Skin Moisturising Facial Cleansing wipes
These are the Woolworth's brand that you can get for about $2 a pop. I actually quite liked these? As always, I feel they could've been more moist but I did much prefer them to the Beauty Care Co ones I used to use. I have, however, found a wipe I reaaally like, which I'll talk about next!
Repurchase? Probably not, but would if I couldn't get the next ones cheap.
Simple Kind to Skin Facial Cleansing Wipes
This was a sample pack and I liked them so much that I put them in a damn FAVES post :O. I really like these, the actual wipe is moist and a bit textured to help remove makeup. Doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry. I actually haven't tried removing waterproof makeup with this because I just assume that it wouldn't work...
Repurchase? Already bought a twin pack for cheap (yay!) and also have a stash of wipes so I won't need new ones for ages!
La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water
I received this in a GWP and I don't think I ever would have tried it because, c'mon, it's WATER IN A CAN. I did, however, really like it. I think it was just the uber fine mist it comes out as that I like? I used this to wet my face before face masks and it didn't last me very long lol.
Repurchase? I think this is a reaaally unnecessary product so probably not haha :P
Lush Cupcake Fresh Face Mask*
I really liked this! I featured it a favourites I think. I find it pretty gentle but really helped clarify my skin. There's not much more to say, it's a good face mask!
Repurchase? As much as I liked it, I don't think I would purchase. Because they're fresh, they have a very short shelf life. I aim to get my hands on more through Lush's recycling program (bring in 6 empty packages (I think) and get a free face mask).
Eco. Organic Rosehip Oil*
I used up this tiny bottle pretty quick. I liked this a lot but I don't think this one in particular was anything special. I love rose hip oil in general but for some reason I think the Trilogy Antioxidant + and Kosmea ones work better.
Repurchase? Probably not.
In the beginning I didn't really like this (relative to other oils) so I delegated it to the travel products. I found I needed to use more product to get the same results. I used it a lot in the past month though to finish it up and definitely warmed up to it! I used it in the morning and I think it did a decent job in moisturising my skin and adding a bit of glow. Still prefer others though :P
Repurchase? Probably not, but I might in the future!
My bestie, my boo. This product was definitely one of my first HOLY GRAILS. This is probably my third tube! My skin just reacts so well to this product - it helps clear up any current acne I have, as well as preventing bacterial related breakouts.
Repurchase? You know it.
This product is extremely similar to the LRP one and they perform in much the same way. I do prefer the LRP though because I think it works just a bit better, but this is still a great product!
Repurchase? Probably not, just because Effaclar Duo is my ride or die! can't take that expression seriously tho.
