A Treat Yo' Self Haul

(Relatively) long time no haul! My last haul was in July so my li'l "spending ban" lasted around two months. Solid, solid...though not really. Even if I wasn't on a "spending ban" (imagine me doing air bunnies quotation marks right now), I didn't really have very much disposable income becauseeeee...I lost ma job :( I dun wanna talk about it but basically they stopped giving me shifts because I was too old and expensive. Gotta love life ayy. ANYWAYS, I got a new job last month and I promised myself I'd TREAT MA SELF when my first paycheck rolled in. Wut wuuuut so here we are. Majority of this stuff is high end cos GAL I WAS FEELIN' SPENDY. (BTW background is also a purchase: an amazing canvas from Kmart of course.)

#important

Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in 04 Orange
Since I was SUPER gewd and finished up my L'oreal tinted lip balm, I decided to pick up this Clarins one. Applaud me - I did a one in one out thang. Anyway, I've been wanting one of these since they were launched! I looove the lip gloss versions and these have been getting raves as well! I was tossing up between Coral and Orange but ultimately went with Orange because it was a bit more pigmented and I figured I'd get more bang for my buck. Speaking of....this shiz EXPENSIVE. It only contains like 2.4g of product which is MEASLY and costs $30. As much as I'm liking it, I doubt I'll repurchase and definitely won't buy another!

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lip Trio in Mauve
This was a COMPLETE impulse buy. I have a trio of mini Marvelous Moxie lipsticks and really love them. I'd seen this set and totally wasn't going to buy it, but then I decided to swatch the products inside, y'know FOR FUN, and theeeeeen I bought it. I opted for the Mauve set which contains the lip liner in Thrilled, lipstick in Break Away and a lipgloss in Smooth Talker (all full size). All of these colours are right up my alley and I've been thoroughly enjoying them - will have a review up soon! These sets are limited edition FYI but I believe all the shades are permanent. They're excellent value for money as they cost $47 and if you bought each product alone it would cost $73! Bargain if I do say so maself.

Stila Aqua Glow Watercolour Blush in Shimmering Lotus
Well, well...another not powder blush from Stila, you'd think I've got enough right? Wrong. I was just sooo intrigued by the formula of these blushes and they've been getting excellent reviews, this shade in particular from Lily Pebbles. It so unique, like a liquidy gel that is sheer and translucent. Gives such a gorgeous, like, wet, dewy glow to the cheeks. So summery! This particular shade is sooo typical me - a peachy-pink with fine golden shimmer.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
I was originally going to get the travel size of this because y'know, "saving money" and all that, but ACTUALLY it was much more cost efficient to opt for the larger size. The mini is actually a bit of a rip off when you think about it. I've been wanting to try this for aaaages and it's such a cult product. Setting sprays have had a bit of a surge in the beauty community and I gotsta be all over dat. I've tried it a couple of times and it definitely does prolong the wear of my makeup! I'll definitely report back more in depth soon though!

Benzac AC 5%
A bit of an unexciting skincare purchase here but lately my skin has been pretty terribad. I don't know what, but my skincare routine definitely needed a bit of a rejig. I've been so focused on finishing up products that I didn't pay attention to what was or wasn't working! As much as I love the Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion, I think my skin has gotten used to it. I'm not noticing as drastic results and I find I'm using more and more product. I opted for this acne-spot-treatment-gel as it came recommended by my friend and also Cherie. So far it's working really well for me! I'm actually super impressed and it's actually not that drying for me either. Much enjoy!

Lush Cosmetic Warrior Fresh Face Mask
I'd used up 5 Lush products and therefore had 5 pots/bottles to trade in! I went for Cosmetic Warrior because I'd read good reviews and a lot said it worked well for acne. I've used it a few times and I quite like it, but it's nothing amazing. The smell though....BLEUGHRHGH. It's pretty ratchet, buyer beware. Also ugh I didn't check the use-by date and this one expires quite soon since it was made like, A WHOLE WEEK before I got it. -_-

Lush Angels on Bare Skin
As always, the chick tried to sell me stuff and gave me a sample of this cleanser. I'm actually pretty excited to use this since I've been curious about it as a gentle exfoliator!

Lastly, I was accepted into the Sigma affiliate program and they so kindly and generously sent over this amazing welcome pack. I've never tried anything from Sigma before so it's safe to say I have plenty to play with now! I've tried quite a few of the items and reaaaally like them! They sent over the Express Brush Cleaning Glove* (which I thought was a total gimmick but is actually SO cool and useful), the 3DHD Kabuki* and Precision* brushes, the E39*, E54* and a mini E55*. They also sent a few makeup products; a powder blush in Cheeky*, Fawn eye shadow*, Go Dutch lip base* and a mini lip vex in Get Ready*. You can use the code SIGMAPINK on their website to get 10% off!

I really should end this haul with a promise of a spending ban but NOPE it's holiday season and ALL OF DA HOLIDAY PALETTES. Even though it's crappy value for money, I've pretty much decided I'm going to buy the Hourglass Ambient lighting edit and also I'm sooo tempted by the amazing NARS cheek palette in the Steven Klein collection (the one with Laguna and Luster - damn I hope Mecca brings it over). But yes, I'm still saving up for 'murica and a new laptop...
